Daily Necessities Needed
In a country where socio-economic disparities are prevalent, uniforms can help mitigate the stigma associated with poverty. All Nepali students in the school wear the same school uniforms to promote the sense of unity and belonging among the students. The school uniforms eliminate the pressure to keep up with the fashion trends, reducing the financial burden specially to Children’s Home. Overall providing school unforms for the underprivileged kids in Nepal not only addresses socio-economic inequalities but also enhances their educational experience and opportunities for success.
Last year, thanks to your generosity, we provided full uniforms—trousers, skirts, shirts, sweaters, sports clothes, ties, shoes, belts, and socks—for 48 girls and 18 boys from our partner organization in Mahendranagar. Each set costs $92 and typically lasts two years, with many items passed down to younger students when possible.
Today, however, many children need replacements for essentials like shoes, socks, underwear, and backpacks, which wear out more quickly. The cost to fully equip a student with these replacement items is about $56. Your continued support will ensure that every child has the dignity, confidence, and comfort they need to focus on learning and growing.
