Medical Emergency

On June 4, 2025, one of the older children at the Home, Shristi, suddenly lost her sense of taste on one side of her face. She was immediately taken to the Annapurna Neurological Institute, where doctors diagnosed mucosal thickening in her sinus and a deviated nasal septum (DNS). To support her recovery, they recommended a course of physiotherapy and acupuncture, which she underwent for a full month.

Thanks to the generous support of our community, we were able to cover Shristi’s medical expenses and ensure she received the necessary care. We are very happy to share that she has now fully recovered, and doctors have confirmed that no further treatment is needed. Shristi is doing well, and her condition has returned to normal.
