Care and Recovery: Amrita's Dental Treatment

When Amrita began experiencing severe pain and swelling on the lower left side of her mouth, it started to affect her sleep, her eating, and her days. She was taken to a dental clinic in Bhaisepati, where the dentist found deep decay in two lower molars and an infection at the root of the tooth, the source of the swelling and pain. Root canal treatment was carried out to clear the infection and seal the teeth, and one molar was too badly damaged to save and had to be removed. Crowns are now planned for three teeth so she can chew comfortably again.

Treatment has taken place over several visits, with follow-ups to confirm healing, at a recorded cost of approximately $350 for the root canal work and extraction. Care of this kind rarely makes headlines, but for a child in daily pain it changes everything.
